Dear Friend,

In this issue, I will discuss more secrets of reading Tarot cards intuitively. I will also continue our discussions of Palmistry by looking at the length of the thumb.

Tarot Reading (Part 4).

Many beginning tarot readers struggle with their readings simply because they select the wrong tarot deck!

Non-Intuitive Tarot Decks

Some tarot decks do not have comprehensive images on the minor arcana cards. The images on these decks consist of the number of symbols that the card represents.

For example, the Two of Cups will just have two cups on the card.

The Eight of Pentacles has just eight pentacles on the card.

This makes it very difficult for beginners to remember what these cards represent. Also, you cannot look at the card and allow the images to feed your intuition.

Look at the sample cards below. These are very difficult to read intuitively!

Intuitive Tarot Decks

These Tarot Decks have a comprehensive image on every. card and are much easier to read.

By looking at the picture, you will find it much easier to remember what the card means.

You will also find it easier to read groups of cards since it will be easier to spot a common theme running through the cards.

You can also look intensely into the card, noticing the symbols, colours and details and allow your intuition to run wild.

Look at the sample cards below. These are very easy to read intuitively.

Compare them to the cards above.

They are the same cards!

In short, use a deck that you find easy to read.

Tarot Card of the Month: The High Priestess

The High Priestess is wise, spiritual and intuitive. Most of the meanings come from these three qualities.

Meaning 1:

Trust your intuition. Don’t go against your gut feelings. Your hunches are correct.

This card often shows up when a client suspects their partner or children are doing something morally questionable.

Memory aid:

The High Priestess is intuitive and psychic.

Meaning 2:

Look beyond the surface. Things are not what they seem. Tip: Select a 2nd card immediately and place it behind the High Priestess. The 2nd card will give you a hint as to the true nature of things.

Look at the example below. I have specifically chosen an example that is intuitively easy to read.

Try and guess what these two card combinations mean before you read my comments!

In this example, the High Priestess suggests that not everything is all it seems. The 2nd card drawn is the 10 of Cups. The 10 of Cups indicates a happy, peaceful relationship.

If we read these 2 cards together, it suggests that a relationship may appear to be happy and peaceful to others, but in reality it is not. This situation is very common.

Look at the image above one more time. Can you relate to this meaning?

Memory aid:

Look at the picture of the High Priestess. See the veil in the background? Imagine that the veil is hiding the truth. Place the second card (see above) behind the veil. Also, notice the moon at her feet. Imagine moonlight at night keeping things partially visible, partially hidden.

Meaning 3:

You already know the answer to your question. You already know the solution to your problem.

Search within yourself for this answer. Search within yourself for this solution.

This card often shows up when the client already knows the answer, but they want another person (the Psychic) to verify it.

Memory aid:

The High Priestess knows all the answers and all the solutions.

Meaning 4:

You (or someone very close to you) are keeping secrets.

Draw a 2nd card (as before) to get a hint as to the nature of these secrets. Place the 2nd card underneath the High Priestess, that is, imagine she is covering it up.

You (the Tarot interpreter) will need to use all your psychic powers to determine more about the specific nature of these secrets.

Look at the example below. I have specifically chosen an example that is intuitively easy to read.

Try and guess what it means before you read my comments!

In this situation, the High Priestess indicates that the client is keeping secrets.

The Knight of Cups can indicate a handsome young man, who is romantic and in love.

If the client is a single young lady, these two cards read together can mean that she is keeping the existence of a handsome young boyfriend hidden from her family and friends. In other words, she has a secret boyfriend.

If the client is a married lady in an unhappy relationship, it can mean she is having a secret affair.

Memory aid:

The High Priestess is someone who knows a lot, but keeps most of it to herself.

Meaning 5:

You (or someone close to you) are not getting enough sex.

Memory aid:

Assume the High Priestess is celibate. Also, look closely at the picture of the High Priestess. Note her legs are either crossed or are tightly closed?

Meaning 6:

You need to spend time alone.

Memory aid:

Assume the High Priestess spends a lot of her time alone.

Meaning 7:

The High Priestess can represent a significant woman in your life.

She is very spiritual, although not necessarily religious. She is usually single. She is interested in the psychic, healing or occult arts. She seeks wisdom. She seeks the truth. She seeks answers. Listen to her, as she is very wise and wants to help you.

Memory aid:

Imagine a wise, spiritual and intuitive woman like the High Priestess.

Meaning 8:

A secret is about to be revealed or uncovered.

Memory aid:

Imagine the High Priestess revealing a secret to you. Or, imagine that the book she is holding is her secret diary – and you read it and uncover a secret.

Meaning 9:

A significant person is in your life whose star sign is Cancer. This person is usually a woman, but can be an effeminate (although not necessarily gay) man.

Memory aid:

Look at the picture of the High Priestess. Note the Moon underneath her legs? In astrology, the Moon rules the star sign Cancer. Imagine a crab (Cancer) coming out of the water and onto the land during a full moon.

Remember to select three meanings, and three meanings only!

Palmistry (Part 9)

We will look at the significance of the thumb length.

You must always measure the length of the thumb relative to the Index finger.

Do this:

Press your thumb up against your Index finger.

Ideally, the tip of your thumb should end at the midpoint of the base phalange of the first (index) finger. This thumb is considered to be of normal length.

See below:

If the tip of the thumb ends above the midpoint of the base phalange of the first finger, then the thumb is considered long.

If the tip of the thumb ends below the midpoint of the length of the base phalange of the first finger, then the thumb is considered short.

Long Thumb

Look at the photo above. Notice how the thumb reaches the first crease of the Index finger. This is a very long thumb!

People with long thumbs have intense willpower and a desire for personal achievement.

They have a sense of power and potency.

These people are highly driven, self-motivated and very independent. Not surprisingly, they tend to be highly successful in all areas of their lives and are usually leaders in any community.

Next time you meet a highly successful, self-made person, have a quick glance at their thumbs. You will notice they are very long!

Short Thumb

Look at the photo above. Notice how the thumb only just reaches the base of the first finger? This is a very short thumb!

People with short thumbs lack willpower.

They do not strive for personal achievement.

They feel helpless and impotent.

They are not necessarily lazy; rather, they feel unmotivated most of the time.

More Palmistry next month!
